Many elements
influence this behavior, the most important being the leadership. The term
"innovative work behavior" has evolved, and this has led to a great deal of
research looking into different leadership roles and how they affect employee
innovation. The research on leadership in the context of employee creativity and
innovation is extensive and encompasses more than one hundred leadership
roles from various viewpoints. Undertaking a Systematic Literature Review (SLR)
in this field is essential to establishing future leadership strategies that effectively
tackle the intricate problems of contemporary industries. The 608 empirical studies
included in the current SLR were retrieved from the reputable databases Scopus
and Web of Science. These studies investigated how leadership in primary,
secondary, and tertiary industries foster employee creativity and innovation. Three
key themes are identified by the study: a comprehensive evaluation of various
leadership studies; an industry-specific analysis that reveals a narrow focus in the
primary sector; and an investigation of the transformational, transactional, and
hybrid leadership styles. The SLR established taxonomies to classify previous
research, identify unexplored domains, and direct the selection of variables for
subsequent research. In the era of digitalization, the conventional dominance of
transformational and transactional leadership is under threat from the need for
novel approaches to problem-solving. The literature emphasizes the importance of
adaptive leadership styles and the shortcomings of old leadership paradigms in
tackling contemporary issues. The study followed five steps SLR method from
formulating the research topic, carrying out an exhaustive search, putting inclusion
and exclusion criteria to use, picking and extracting data from pertinent studies,
and to presenting and analyzing the results. The synthesis of a large body of
research in this SLR makes a substantial contribution to our knowledge of the role
that leadership plays in employee creativity. The identification of underexplored
industries requires targeted research efforts to address opportunities and
constraints unique to the primary industry, particularly in the agriculture sector.
This can be accomplished by categorizing leadership styles, recognizing market
trends, and recommending taxonomies for further investigation. In conclusion, this
study offers valuable insights for developing effective leadership strategies that
foster innovative work behavior and accelerate organizational innovation in the
twenty-first century
Muhammad Mursaleen, Asif Shahzad, Mahwish Parveen, Muhammad Shoaib Aslam Copyright (c) 2024 Administrative and Management Sciences Journal http://mdripublishing.com/index.php/AMSJ/article/view/76 Sun, 30 Jun 2024 00:00:00 +0000 The Effect of Green HRM Practices on Environmental Performance: A Moderated Mediation Model with Empirical Examination http://mdripublishing.com/index.php/AMSJ/article/view/78
This research aims to investigate employees' environmental responsibility (EER)
and green transformational leadership (GTL) influence the relationship between
green human resource practices (GHRMP) and environmental performance (EP) in
KP universities, Pakistan. We collected data from 377 actively involved faculty
members in KP universities, utilizing descriptive and inferential statistical analyses
following Hayes Model 7. The results reveal that the association between green
HRM practices and environmental performance is partially mediated by green
transformational leadership. Furthermore, employees' environmental responsibility
moderates the relationship between green HRM practices and green
transformational leadership significantly. In the context of moderated mediation,
employees' environmental responsibility emerges as a significant moderator in the
link between green HRM practices and environmental performance through green
transformational leadership. The unique demands and challenges faced by
teleworkers result in increased stress and decreased task performance. This study
focuses on the relatively overlooked indirect effect of technostress during post
covid and between job characteristics and task performance. The survey approach
was used to collect the data from 248 employees from teleworkers working in the
IT and telecom sectors of Pakistan's twin cities (Rawalpindi and Islamabad). The
purposive sampling technique was used to collect data. The findings suggested that
Task Autonomy and Task Identity had a significant positive impact on Task
Performance. The research provides a unique set of lessons that the IT sector
should implement to increase the task performance of teleworkers, which
ultimately leads to achieving goals and gaining a competitive advantage. The study
contributes to the existing literature on the contributing factor that improves the
effectiveness of teleworkers in the IT sector of Pakistan. The study is unique in its
scope and implications, focusing on the IT sector. This research will provide
useful insight to better understand how task autonomy and task identity are
necessary for the effectiveness of teleworkers’ task performance where technology
is the only source of communication between all the employees.
Muhammad Imran, Aemon Malik, Muhammad Ali Raza Copyright (c) 2024 Administrative and Management Sciences Journal http://mdripublishing.com/index.php/AMSJ/article/view/80 Sun, 30 Jun 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Beyond Likes: Understanding the Mediating Role of Advertising Influence in Social Media Marketing's Impact on Purchase Intent http://mdripublishing.com/index.php/AMSJ/article/view/81
In contemporary business landscapes, the strategic utilization of social media
platforms and the perceptual inclinations of consumers towards promotional
content represent significant challenges for enterprises seeking to augment
individual purchase intentions. Consequently, to comprehensively elucidate the
multifaceted dynamics surrounding advertising influence and consumer attitudes
vis-à-vis purchase intention formation, this investigation scrutinizes the impacts of
Entertainment (E), Informativeness (INF), and social media (SM) on Purchase
Intention (PI, with a particular focus on the mediating influence of Advertising
Influence (AI). The conceptual underpinnings of this study draw upon established
theoretical frameworks, specifically the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) and the
Uses and Gratification Theory (U&G). Empirical data were gathered from a
sample comprising members of the general populace actively engaged in shopping
pursuits within retail establishments situated in urban centers across both China
and Pakistan. A total of 478 survey instruments were distributed and subsequently
analyzed to discern underlying patterns and associations. The methodology
employed convenience sampling techniques to facilitate data collection, while
hypotheses were tested utilizing statistical analyses conducted through SPSS and
Smart PLS SEM 3.0 software. Findings from this investigation underscore the
profound transformative influence exerted by social media, entertainment, and in
formativeness on individuals' lifestyles, as well as their perceptual orientations and
behavioral predispositions towards online advertising within the context of
Pakistan. The implications of these findings extend beyond mere theoretical
contributions, resonating significantly within the marketing domain by elucidating
the pivotal role assumed by marketing practitioners in effectuating attitudinal and
behavioral shifts among consumers through strategic interventions leveraging
these antecedent variables. Moreover, this study serves to address extant gaps
within the scholarly literature, thereby enriching the collective understanding of
consumer behavior dynamics. Over time, numerous
theories and models have been suggested to clarify individual behaviors towards
technology adoption and assess the level of acceptance and satisfaction with
technological advancements. This research conducts a thorough examination of
diverse hypotheses concerning technological acceptance and evaluates their
explanatory capacity critically. The analysis demonstrates that these theories can
be broadly classified into two primary domains: practical application and scientific
inquiry. Concentrating primarily on recognizing the external factors impacting the
acceptability and implementation of technology, this study aims to illuminate the
dynamics both preceding and during the global pandemic. Specifically, it explores
the subtle influence of external factors on the adoption and usage of eLearning
platforms in higher education environments. By examining existing literature and
empirical research, this investigation seeks to offer valuable insights into the
intricate relationship between external variables and the acceptance of
technological developments. Through a comprehensive analysis of elements like
socio-economic circumstances, institutional regulations, and technological
frameworks, this study strives to enhance comprehension of the intricate interplay
between external influences and technology adoption procedures. This pressure is particularly
acute in developing nations like Pakistan, where balancing economic growth with
environmental responsibility presents unique challenges. Hence this study delves
into the critical relationship between green intellectual capital (GIC) and business
sustainability in Pakistan's manufacturing sector. The researcher also examined the
mediating effects of green innovation, value creation, and resource efficiency on
this association. Employing a survey instrument, data is collected from large scale
manufacturing firms located in three different industrial cities of Pakistan through
convenient sampling. Smart PLS SEM was used to explore the hypothesized
relationships and the mechanisms through which GIC impacts business
sustainability via mediating variables. The results confirmed all hypotheses as
statistically significant. The first hypothesis showed a positive and significant
relationship between GIC and business sustainability (β = 0.101, p < 0.05). The
second hypothesis demonstrated that value creation effectively mediates the
relationship between GIC and business sustainability (β = 0.191, p < 0.05). The
third and fourth hypothesis found that green innovation and Resource efficiency
both significantly mediates between green intellectual capital and business
sustainability with (B=0.183, p<0.05) and (B=0.120, p<0.05) respectively. Hence
all the hypotheses were supported. These findings hold significant implications for
Pakistani manufacturing firms, offering valuable insights into strengthening their
environmental practices and achieving long-term sustainability. The current study is designed to examine areas of library
cooperation between the central library and departmental libraries within the
university domain. Benefits, obstacles, and preferences for library cooperation
have also been explored. A quantitative research methodology was adopted to
execute the study. A questionnaire was used as a data collection tool and data was
collected only from those university libraries having central and departmental
libraries. The data was collected from 110 academic librarians working in central
or departmental libraries of universities across Pakistan. The findings revealed that
libraries within a university are frequently cooperating in many areas. The highest
cooperation is in the exchange of books followed by cooperation in the
classification of books. More than half of the universities have established
integrated cooperation among libraries within the university. One-fifth of the
libraries have interactive relationships, and the remaining libraries have weak
cooperation or no cooperation at all. Cooperation among libraries has improved
access to print resources, improved quality of the library services, enhanced access
to library services, and improved coordination in the acquisition of library
material. Limited financial resources, lack of formal framework for library
cooperation, and lack of technology infrastructure were major obstacles faced by
libraries.
